I lost my shipping label, can I still make a return?

Yes. If you have lost your original return shipping label or packing slip, you can still make a return.

Can I return shoes I bought in a physical store to

Currently we cannot accept staged returns for items purchased at any retail or department store.

How do I return a FLITELESS online order?

In order to return a webstore order you need to fill out the physical Return Form that came with your shipment.  Then you stick the pre-paid return address label we provided with your shipment on the box and follow the instructions on the Return Label.  No printer needed!

We’d recommend that you ensure your shoes fit to your satisfaction on a carpet before wearing them outside or on rough surfaces as all returned goods need to be in perfect condition, and come with their original packaging. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept returns if they are not in perfect condition.

What is your return policy?

We hope you love your FLITELESS™ shoes, but if you’re not completely satisfied, you can return merchandise within 14 days of receiving the goods – so long as it is in unworn, mint condition.

Please note:

  • Items purchased at any physical brick and mortar retail store cannot be returned to our webstore. If you bought an item at any retail store you can return the item to that same store.

If you choose our standard shipping your order will be sent via DHL. You can choose to have your order sent directly any address you wish or to any DHL service point. We only ship on business days, so orders placed on Friday after 12:30pm GMT (+2) or over the weekend will ship out on Monday morning.

Can I cancel or edit my order?

Our orders go into picking in our warehouse instantly as they are placed, so once your order is placed, you will not be able to cancel your order or change your Billing addressed.

How do I redeem a coupon or promotional code?

Once you have selected the items for your order, click on the shopping bag icon and start the checkout process. On this page near the top of the screen, you‘ll see a field that says “Have a coupon?”.

Enter the code exactly as it appears (codes are case-sensitive and may include special characters), then click APPLY COUPON. If you missed the coupon code box during checkout, click on the shopping bag icon to return to your shopping bag where you will be able to enter your coupon code. You can only use one coupon code at a time, and you can’t apply a coupon code after you’ve submitted your order.

What kind of leather do you use?

At the moment we use calf leather, pebble grain leather, suede, eco-buck and deer skin.

Our leathers are only sourced from the top tanneries in England, Italy and Spain.

Where are FLITELESS shoes produced?

Fliteless shoes are all Made in Portugal.

Perhaps most importantly, Fliteless shoes are produced with love by master craftsmen who have been making shoes by hand for centuries.  They are as fascinated by our never-before-seen high-tech sole system as we are with their passion & talent.

How should I take care of my new FLITELESS shoes?

In order for your shoes to last longer and keep their looks there are certain care measurements that should be taken into consideration.

Before applying any shoe care products your shoes should dry and be brushed down to remove old dust and dirt.

Always cover up the colored bounce pads on the profile of your Fliteless shoes before applying shoe cream or any shoe care product.  We suggest using a small piece of tape.

There are some simple steps to follow if you want to increase the longevity of your shoes as well keeping the appearance top notch:

  • Try to avoid using the same pair of leather shoes every day in order to let them dry out properly. Leather is a natural material that is worn out quicker when moist. This rule applies to all leather products.
  • Use a shoe horn when putting your shoes on. Using a shoe horn will reduce the strain on the heal of the shoe.
  • Use a shoe tree daily to maintain the shape of your shoe, avoiding excess creasing as well as helping the drying process.
  • Brush away old dirt and dust and use a damp cloth or sponge to prepare your shoe for treatment.
  • For leather shoes you should regularly apply a conditioning shoe cream to keep the leather supple, hydrated and to increase its water resistance. Remember to cover up the colored bounce pads on the profile of your Fliteless shoes before applying shoe cream or any other shoe care product. We suggest using a small piece of tape.
  • We also recommend treating our suede shoes with a suede protector before use.

Explain the differences between your two sole options?

Can I wear FLITELESS with orthopedic insoles?

Our mission is to create the world’s lightest and most comfortable dress shoes.  We even offer all our shoes in 2 sole experiences so that our customers can choose the sole that fits his lifestyle & personal preferences.  

Orthopedic insoles fundamentally change the depth, volume, instep, arch and fit of the shoes structure.  Our soles are very soft with injected bounce anatomically placed exactly where you need it. We hope you try a pair and tell us FLITELESS has eliminated the need for your orthopedic insoles altogether.  That is our goal.

Can I remove my FLITELESS insoles?

No, our memory foam and calf leather lined insoles are extremely comfy and glued to the shoe sole structure.

Can I have my FLITELESS shoes resoled?

No.  And for 3 main reasons here:

  1. We physically just can’t:  We have invented a new multi-layered sole system from the ground up with injected bounce pads & so much more.  It’s something that fascinated our craftsman in Portugal who have been making beautiful dress shoes for centuries – just as we hope it also fascinates you!  Our sole system uses technology that renders it far closer to an athletic shoe than to a heritage dress shoe. We can’t resole your Fliteless shoes for the same reason you can’t resole your favorite pair of running shoes.
  2. The 21st century man just doesn’t do this very much:  We did some research:  In 1960, close to 25% of men resoled their dress shoes every 18-24 months.  Today, it is estimated that less than 1% of men have resoled any dress shoes in the last 5 years!  We think this is because resoling takes time & is very costly – sometimes half the cost of a new pair itself.
  3. Resoled shoes are still hard shoes:  Often the stitching on a resoled shoe renders the shoe less flexible and less stable.  When it comes to the structure of our shoes, we are all about new age technology, lightness, comfort, bounce, flexibility and stability.

Do you make different widths?

Our shoes are made on a very democratic last with a medium “D” (standard) width.  Two reasons we don’t make different widths:

  1. It is estimated that over 93% of men’s feet measure a medium “D” (standard) width.
  2. While hard soled dress shoes do often require different widths to satisfy every foot type, our rubber sole multi-layered sole is much more adaptive.

If you are used to buying a narrow or wide width, we recommend you buy a pair of our shoes and try them on for fit.  That’s why we offer free shipping and free returns!

Important Notes Regarding our FLITELESS fit:

  • All our Fliteless shoes are running 1/2 size large.  We recommend you place your order in a size 0.5 smaller than your usual foot size.

What’s with the name FLITELESS? And why are you guys so obsessed with ostriches?

We love ostriches, thanks for noticing!  The ostrich has attitude, it kicks hard and is one hell of a runner – with an insane sprint of 60 mph (96.6 km/hr). Being flightless, it’s developed an ability to outrun any animal over time (yes, even the cheetah) and it’s also the fastest animal on two legs over any distance.

The Ostrich is a badass flightless champion and it keeps inspiring us to break new ground.
